About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Podcast Editor to manage the full post-production process of podcast episodes. This is a project-based role, paid per episode, and requires a professional with strong technical expertise in audio and/or video editing.
The ideal candidate will be able to deliver broadcast-quality content independently, meet deadlines consistently, and maintain high production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw podcast recordings into polished final episodes
• Perform advanced audio cleaning and enhancement (noise reduction, EQ, compression, mastering, balancing)
• Remove errors, filler words, background noise, and long pauses seamlessly
• Add intros, outros, music, transitions, and sound design elements where required
• Sync audio and video (if applicable)
• Ensure consistent sound quality across episodes
• Export final files in the required formats for digital platforms (e.g. Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube)
• Maintain organised project files and deliver within agreed turnaround times

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant qualification in audio engineering, sound design, media production, film/video production, or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in audio and video editing
• Proven experience in podcast editing or long-form content production
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous work
• Advanced proficiency in at least one of the following:
• Adobe audition
• Adobe premiere pro
• Final cut pro
• DaVinci resolve
• Pro tools (advantageous)
• Strong understanding of audio mixing, mastering, and broadcast standards
• Must have own equipment and licensed editing software
• Reliable internet connection for file transfers
