Half-Day Debtors Clerk

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Debtors Clerk to join our finance team on a half-day basis. The ideal candidate will primarily be responsible for managing Rent-to-Own (RTO) contracts and overseeing the insurance administration of our vehicle fleet. This position requires a high level of accuracy, strong administrative skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Rent-to-Own debtor accounts

Process invoices and payments related to RTO contracts

Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up with clients

Reconcile debtor accounts regularly

Ensure accurate records of all transactions

Administer vehicle insurance for fleet, including new policy activations, renewals, and claims

Maintain insurance documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Liaise with insurance providers and internal departments

Provide regular reporting to management on debtors and insurance status

Requirements

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a debtors or finance role

Experience with Rent-to-Own contracts (advantageous)

Familiarity with fleet insurance management is a strong plus

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

High attention to detail and accuracy
