Key responsibilities:
• Assist with purchasing and procurement
• Source and compare quotes from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for customer inquiries and projects (imports)
• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse for timely replenishment
• Work closely with the sales and operations teams to meet client requirements
• Ensure documentation and records are up to date and compliant
• As an importer, experience with clearing agents would be advantageous
• Matric (Grade 12) is essential; relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
• Previous experience in procurement, or stock control (preferably in similar industry)
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Computer literacy, especially Excel and email correspondence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
