Senior Copywriter

We're looking for a "sjoe-kinda-idea"-generating, "whoa-kinda-writing", creative copywriter leader.

We're looking for a senior copywriter to lead and manage the copywriting team.

Not only does this person need to be alternative, fun and inquisitive, they also need to lead and grow the creative team in developing marketing masterpieces...

Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Creating integrated marketing communication campaigns with the support of the creative and accounts team
•⁠ ⁠Attending client and/or account creative briefing sessions
•⁠ ⁠Play a lead role in managing the creative process including copy and concept development
•⁠ ⁠Writing, modifying, creating concepts and copy, presenting options to clients
•⁠ ⁠Proofreading all copy to ensure that it's grammatically correct

Requirements

•⁠ ⁠Degree or diploma or equivalent qualification from a reputable establishment (ideal)
•⁠ ⁠At least 5 years industry experience
•⁠ ⁠At least 2 years in a managerial role
•⁠ ⁠A comprehensive portfolio with a number of relevant examples of previous work
•⁠ ⁠Understanding of the global youth landscape with a special focus on SA
•⁠ ⁠Passion for social media content

•⁠ ⁠Skilled in writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
•⁠ ⁠Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•⁠ ⁠Work well in a team - as a leader and team player
•⁠ ⁠Be able to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively
•⁠ ⁠Highly self-motivated and well organised
•⁠ ⁠A great deal of attention to detail
•⁠ ⁠Exceptional editing capabilities
•⁠ ⁠Deadline-driven
•⁠ ⁠Excellent command of the English language
•⁠ ⁠Creative briefing and process management ability
