Responsibilities:
- Managing deadlines and scheduling to ensure timely publication of news content
- Assigning stories to reporters ensuring they meet deadlines
- Conducting research and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy of news content
- Planning and coordinating news content, including deciding on story angles and coverage
- Create, edit and publish engaging digital content across our platforms
- Collaborate with writers, designers and other stakeholders to produce high quality content
- Analyse performance metrics and adjust content strategies accordingly
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or media studies
- Proven experience as a digital editor or similar role
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills
- Excellent knowledge of digital platforms and trends
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
