Job description

Accountant required for Great Stock Photographic Library, situated in the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This role requires a proactive self-starter who can manage the full accounting function and oversee the accounts department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable Management – Full Function
• Accounts Payable Management – Full Function
• Cash Book updating and Bank Reconciliation – Current, Call Accounts and Credit Card
• SARB Exchange control schedules
• Overseeing of Accounts Department
• Cash flow Forecasting and Monitoring
• Monthly month end journals
• Monthly Management Accounts
• Yearend journals
• VAT Reconciliation, submission of VAT201
• General Ledger Reconciliations
• Reconciliation of Intercompany Loan Accounts
• Updating of Asset Register
• Record keeping for BEE
• Reporting to internal stakeholders
• Preparation of Statutory audit working file and liaison with auditors
• Credit Application Vetting
• HR Administration

Requirements

• Accounting Diploma or Accounting Degree – Essential
• At least 10 years relevant work experience
• Self-starter
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent computer skills (Pastel Partner, Excel Intermediate)
• Ability to work under pressure
• Numerically literate
