Layout Designer - Publishing

Integrated / ESG / sustainability /annual reporting and stakeholder communication experience required, with demonstrable experience in long-form design and layout (documents in excess of 100 pages).

Minimum of five years of experience in designing and setting integrated / ESG / sustainability /annual reports. This is non-negotiable and applicants should be able to demonstrate that.

Required:

• Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
• Proven ability to design elements, work on layout, typography, colour schemes, imagery and above all on infographics that communicate complex information clearly and effectively
• Plot graphs and make changes to graphs
• Understand and be able to conceptualise and design infographics
• Ability to apply internal quality control to style and technical issues
• Ability to liaise and work very closely with our quality control coordinator to accomplish the required end results based on initial design concepts
• Working knowledge of print and production processes       
• Ability to occasionally work overtime and irregular hours
• Have your own computer with Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to set up style sheets from raw design files for typesetting and proofing purposes
• Setting up of different sections of corporate publications, specifically integrated, sustainability and annual reports
• Apply authors' corrections and run proofs on time within tight turn-around times with 100% accuracy
• Do all finished art to make files print-ready
