About the Company

A leading clinical cosmetics research company based in Observatory, Cape Town, is seeking a Data Compiler to support its research and technical operations team.

The company conducts clinical and cosmetic efficacy studies, collaborating closely with international research partners, including teams in France. This position plays a vital role in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality within the company’s study and operational reporting processes.

About the role
The data compiler will be responsible for collecting, verifying, and compiling study and operational data into standardised formats to support ongoing research and quality management reporting. The role requires strong administrative ability, attention to detail, and advanced Excel skills to ensure accurate data entry, processing, and reporting.

This position suits an individual with 2–3 years of relevant work experience who thrives in a structured, detail-oriented, and data-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Compile, clean, and verify study and operational data from various sources.
• Capture and maintain accurate datasets for ongoing studies and reporting.
• Create and update spreadsheets and tracking documents in Microsoft Excel.
• Support data integrity checks and quality control processes.
• Assist with administrative tasks within the data management and technical teams.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company data standards.

Requirements

Essential:

• Minimum4-6 years’ work experience in an administrative, data, or analytical role.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data entry, formulas, formatting, filtering).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Previous data capture or data entry experience.
• Exposure to clinical research, cosmetic science, or laboratory environments.
• Reliable, methodical, and detail-focused.
• Professional and disciplined in following structured processes.
