Key purpose of the role
To curate, originate, and repurpose compelling and relevant content for the organisation’s digital platforms, in alignment with editorial guidelines and brand tone. The Digital Content Writer plays a critical role in driving user engagement, increasing website traffic, and attracting unique visitors by delivering high-quality, audience-focused content that supports the company’s digital strategy.
Key performance areas
Content repurposing and article writing:
Repurpose radio interviews into engaging, grammatically sound online articles, ensuring sufficient background/context, accurate hyperlinks, and appropriate multimedia.
Content management system (CMS) operations:
Upload and manage relevant images for each article using the CMS to ensure strong visual support.
Content planning and execution:
Participate in forward planning meetings and pitch content ideas aligned with the Prime+ audience; execute approved stories to a high editorial standard
Social media and digital distribution:
Share articles on brand social platforms in coordination with engagement teams to maximise reach and audience relevance.
Internal collaboration and promotion:
Build effective relationships with radio teams and management to enable collaborative story creation and promotion of web content across platforms
Analytics and audience insights:Monitor website traffic trends to inform daily content decisions and shape long-term strategies to increase site traffic.
Newsletter creation:
Compile and distribute daily and weekly newsletters that highlight top-performing or priority content

Minimum required qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or equivalent
Minimum years of experience:
- 4-6 years’ experience in digital media and or journalism
Additional role requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally, as required by content opportunities or editorial needs
- Deep understanding of the company’s radio brands and ability to align content accordingly
- Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS); audio editing or podcast experience is advantageous
- Strong editorial planning skills with the ability to conceptualise and execute content across themes and verticals
- Up-to-date knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for content optimisation
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
- Excellent command of written English, with the ability to adapt tone and style to suit different brand voices
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritise, and work independently
- Consistent delivery of high-quality work under tight deadlines and according to brief
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills; collaborative and team-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and navigate new tools, platforms, and technologies
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving media environment
- Sound understanding of SEO principles and content discoverability
