      Job description

      The Content Studio is looking for a Social Media Coordinator temp/contractor with related fashion and lifestyle retail experience to join the team at poetry and poetry of living, supporting content planning, styling, and execution across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

      We’re hiring for two roles:

      A freelance role (ASAP to end June), ideal for a full-time freelancer with capacity to take on an additional client, focused on planning, scheduling, and posting.

      Some in-person time at poetry’s Cape Town HQ will be needed for onboarding and connection, followed by a hybrid mix of remote and in-office work.

      A contract role (June/July to September/October), full-time and based at poetry’s central Cape Town HQ, with potential to extend.

      You’ll manage the content calendar, shape storytelling with visual flair, and create and deploy fashion and lifestyle content that’s engaging and aligned with the brand. You bring relevant experience, platform fluency, calm energy, and initiative, and work with care and consistency.

      We’re seeking a bubbly and positive social media coordinator to shape poetry and poetry of living's social presence with creativity, confidence and strategic foresight. This role requires honed skills in brand storytelling, audience engagement, and visual composition.

      You are a decisive, articulate professional with an intuitive grasp of social media’s evolving landscape. Your expertise extends beyond trends - you understand how to elevate a brand’s presence through compelling content, seamless execution, and authentic community interaction.

      Key responsibilities:
      • Curate and deploy social media content across, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc daily ensuring brand alignment.
      • Ideate and coordinate small-scale digital content productions with internal and external teams in alignment with the brand’s lo-fi, relatable content strategy across platforms..
      • Develop monthly content calendars, alongside brand and merchandise teams, and execute across all platforms
      • Conceptualise and brief content into the design studio within set timelines.
      • Stay ahead of trends, integrating new engagement tactics.
      • Engage with community managers and customer service to actively seek out and act on engagement opportunities within our online communities.
      • Leverage user-generated content, ideating and executing competitions, giveaways and brand partnerships.
      • Analyse performance metrics, delivering monthly social media reports highlighting channel performance and key insights.

      • A Portfolio that inspires – Showcasing expertise in fashion and lifestyle retail social media and resonance with poetry’s brand identity.
