Risk and Analytics Manager

We are seeking an experienced Risk and Analytics Manager to join our risk and analytics department. This is a strategic role that leverages data and analytics to drive customer strategies, optimize credit portfolios, and enhance overall company performance. The ideal candidate is highly numerate, analytical, and experienced in credit risk management, able to translate data insights into actionable strategies that meet Board expectations

Responsibilities:

• Lead the analysis of retail credit portfolios, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities to optimize performance.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies to manage customer risk, improve collections, and support growth initiatives.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights, recommendations, and reporting for senior management and the Board.
• Monitor key risk indicators, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Finance, to integrate risk analytics into business strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement through advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and scenario analysis.

Qualifications and experience:

• Relevant postgraduate degree in mathematical or statistical subjects preferred, B. Com or business science degree acceptable.
• 8+ years’ experience in consumer credit analytics, with proven ability to implement solutions based on analytical findings.
• Strong experience in retail credit risk management and portfolio analytics.
• Advanced numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms (Python, R, SQL, SAS, or similar).
• Experience with reporting, dashboards, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration, leadership, and project management skills.
