      We’re all about creating meaningful campaigns and building long-lasting client relationships. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated senior account manager to join our Cape Town team and help us bring big ideas to life. 

      About the role 

      Please note that this will be a three-month maternity cover - start date of 1 July 2025.  We are ideally looking for someone who has freelanced in this capacity before and who has the ability to pick up and run with projects immediately - without needing a long onboarding period.

      The Account Director plays a pivotal role in leading multiple client accounts, ensuring smooth project execution within time and budget constraints. This role also involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities while guiding and developing account teams. 

      Recommended CIM qualifications 
      • CAM diploma in marketing communications 
      • Professional diploma in marketing 
      • Chartered postgraduate diploma in marketing 
      Ideal candidate profile 
      • Bachelor’s degree with more than five years of agency experience 
      • Proven experience managing high-profile, blue-chip clients 
      • Results-driven with a track record of achieving objectives 
      • Strong communicator, capable of influencing at senior levels 
      • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills 
      • Commercially astute with expertise in business development and financial oversight 
      • Innovative with a creative mindset 
      • Proactive and self-motivated 
      Key responsibilities 
      • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies tailored to client brands, across channels such as advertising, digital, direct marketing, and sales promotions 
      • Lead and support a team of account handlers, fostering their growth and performance 
      • Oversee recruitment and professional development of team members 
      • Inspire and guide teams to meet project goals and deliverables 
      • Build and nurture strong client relationships 
      • Identify and convert new business opportunities 
      • Report on team performance and financial accountability to senior management
