Avaya Telephony Engineer

A well-established organisation is seeking a highly experienced Avaya Telephony Engineer to join their dynamic technology team.

This opportunity is ideal for a specialist with strong technical expertise in Avaya enterprise telephony environments, who will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimising a large-scale voice infrastructure within a high-availability setting.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, performance, and seamless integration of the organisation’s telephony systems, while working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Key skills and experience required:

Minimum 10 years’ experience administering and supporting Avaya enterprise voice platforms

Proven experience with:

• Avaya aura communication manager
• Avaya session manager
• Avaya System Manager
• Avaya messaging
• Avaya media gateways (G450 / G430)
• SIP technologies

• Experience with oracle session border controllers
• Experience with verint call recording
• VMware and SQL experience advantageous

Skills and technical competencies:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Solid understanding of VoIP technologies and protocols (SIP, H.323)
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals including LAN/WAN, QoS, and VLANs
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced enterprise environment
