Please note that this is a fixed-term, part-time contract valid until 30 June 2026. As the Centurion Campus is a contact-learning environment, the successful candidate must be available to start immediately.


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Lecture and assess contact learning in the BEd (Foundation Phase Teaching) programme in the following modules:

• Sepedi Home Language 1
• Teaching Home Language Sepedi

2. Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules.
3. Participate in relevant programme, curriculum and material development.
4. Provide academic support to students.
5. Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes.
6. Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management.
7. Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs.
8. Participate in and attend meetings and workshops.
9. Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.

Qualifications and Experience | Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor of Education Honours or equivalent qualification with relevant study in Sepedi.
• At least 3 years of teaching and/or lecturing experience in relevant phase/discipline.
• Knowledge and understanding and usage of Sepedi as a language.
• Experience in curriculum and materials development.
• Experience in online and blended teaching and learning environments.

• Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
• High level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern Information Technology infrastructure and online learning platforms.

  Ability to cope with change.
