The role We are seeking a talented and experienced
Head of Marketing & Content to lead our marketing strategy and oversee all digital and visual communications across our platforms. This is a creative and strategic role, ideal for someone passionate about luxury travel, design, and storytelling. You will be responsible for driving brand growth, curating inspiring content, and ensuring that every aspect of our digital presence reflects the sophistication and quality of The Luxury Travel Book.
Key responsibilities- Oversee and manage the marketing team, including:
- Our content and social media manager, responsible for social channels and newsletters.
- Our website content executive, responsible for uploading and maintaining property listings.
- Manage the ongoing performance, design, and functionality of our WordPress website, ensuring a seamless user experience and consistent brand presentation.
- Liaise with our SEO and digital marketing agency to implement strategy, optimise performance, and coordinate campaigns across:
- SEO and organic growth.
- Paid advertising (Google Ads, Meta, etc.).
- Website improvements and design updates.
- Develop and execute engaging content strategies that showcase our destinations, villas, and brand story across web, email, and social platforms.
- Oversee and assist with photoshoots and video content, coordinating with photographers and property owners to ensure imagery aligns with our visual standards.
- Shoot on-location content where appropriate, ensuring fresh and authentic assets for our marketing channels.
- Liaise with journalists and media partners to coordinate press stays, marketing trips, and PR opportunities.
- Identify and approach luxury brands and partners for potential collaborations and co-marketing opportunities.
- Assist with blog writing and uploads, contributing ideas and travel-focused content that aligns with brand storytelling.
- Analyse performance data and track KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all visual and written content reflects The Luxury Travel Book’s tone, aesthetic, and brand standards.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in luxury travel, digital marketing, and design to keep the brand at the forefront of the sector.
Requirements- Proven experience in luxury travel, hospitality, or high-end lifestyle marketing.
- Strong WordPress knowledge, with experience managing content and working with developers/designers on improvements.
- Excellent eye for design, photography, and brand consistency.
- Experience managing photoshoots or creating visual content for digital marketing.
- Experience managing and motivating a small marketing/content team.
- Understanding of SEO, digital advertising, analytics, and conversion optimisation.
- Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- A passion for travel and storytelling — it would be beneficial if you enjoy writing about travel, as part of the role involves contributing to our blog and content strategy.
