THE MARKETING TEAM:


This is your opportunity to join the Creative Studio of their dedicated Marketing Team that has been successful in building their brand to that of market leaders in the South African cosmetics industry


YOUR ROLE:


The In-House Creative Studio is the engine room that executes the marketing strategies of the Marketing Team. The creatives get the accolades - but this would not be possible without the vital role of a highly proficient Desk Top Publisher, a Finished Artist who is expert in his/her technical abilities to take the final responsibility for supplying artwork to printers as final repro-ready files of print, as well as executing graphic design work for various marketing materials - packaging; sales leaflets; digital assets and other marketing collateral

This includes :

• Colour corrections
• Photo retouching
• Deep etching
• Design adaptation across print and digital platforms
• Ensuring all artwork is 100% within spec, and ready for print

In order to achieve the above, the Desk Top Publisher must have an excellent knowledge of the printing process from Web to Litho and other packaging printing processes so as to be able to send relevant artwork from the creative studio to the relevant printers appointed as service providers

Requirements

• QUALIFICATIONS: Matric, plus a relevant degree or diploma in a relevant area of expertise
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar environment
• Extensive Software knowledge on Apple Mac using the following software: Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design CS5, Flash and Dreamweaver
• Packaging design experience a MUST HAVE - preference will be given to applicants with cosmetic industry experience
• KEY COMPETENCIES - these include attention to detail; accuracy; ability to multitask; problem solving ability; creative and graphic design skills; good verbal and written communication skills; deadline driven and ability to work under pressure; ability to work as a team............. and a number of other qualities that the client will score you on should you make the short-list
