Alessandra Galloni named Reuters' next editor-in-chief

Alessandra Galloni has been appointed as the next editor-in-chief for Reuters to lead the news agency's newsroom into a new era, and oversee its commitment to delivering reliable journalism globally. Galloni replaces Steve Adler, who retires at the end of the month following a decade as editor-in-chief.

Galloni was previously global managing editor at Reuters where she has driven innovation, speed and quality throughout Reuters' newsgathering operation. Prior to this, she was employed for over 13 years at the Wall Street Journal.
