Omnicom Media Group appoints first global CEO
For the first time in the company's history, Omnicom Media Group will have a female global CEO. AdWeek reports that Omnicom Media Group UK CEO Phillipa Brown has been promoted to CEO for PHD Worldwide.
She will officially fill the role from 1 July 2019 and will be based in London, reporting to OMG CEO Daryl Simm. Brown succeeds Mike Cooper, who was appointed group CEO for Omnicom Media Group APAC and EMEA.
In her previous role, Brown oversaw a team of 1,600 serving a client roster of over 270 clients. She joined Omnicom Media Group UK in 2007 and helped expand UK operations, including the launch of Hearts & Science in the UK, as well as the expansion of Manning Gottlieb.
