Germans say local is lekker

A local documentary - "Krisimesi: Video Diaries of Cape Town Children" - has scooped a Golden Nepomuk - the Audience Award at the Nep.doc 2005 Film Festival in Reutlingen, Germany for the audience's favourite short documentary of the competition. "Krisimesi" is an intimate fly-on-the-wall documentary broadcast by the SABC in 2003, which follows the celebrations of three Cape Town children over Christmas. The film was directed by Jeanette Jegger and produced by Miki Redelinghuys and Lauren Groenewald of Cape Town-based Plexus Films.
