2017 SingularityU Johannesburg Chapter launched at screening of The University

The launch of the 2017 SingularityU Johannesburg Chapter was held as part of a screening of the documentary film, The University, at the Killarney Mall CineCentre. A few days earlier, Michael Fichardt had hosted the Cape Town Chapter at Open's Workshop 17.

Mann Made Media director Mic Mann is the SingularityU Global Impact Challenge Johannesburg Chapter ambassador and he believes that 2017 is going to be a great year for African innovation and impact. The GIC challenges applications to create innovations that will help to resolve critical social problems by making use of the newest available technology.
