Naspers encouraging small investors through BEE deals

The Mail & Guardian Online has reported that empowerment group Welkom Yizani is buying a 15% stake in Naspers subsidiary Media24 and Phuthuma Nathi a 15% stake in pay-TV operator MultiChoice SA, also owned by the media group, with potential benefits available to black business players and to stokvels and community trusts, as no single subscriber will be able to purchase more than 10% of the shares.
