Supervisor – Matter Disbursement

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Finance or Accounting

• A minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in accounts payable/creditors processing, preferably within a legal or professional services environment

• A minimum of 3–5 years’ supervisory or team leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Manage the firm’s matter disbursement creditors process timeously and accurately in accordance with best accounting practices, internal processes, and procedures

• Improve and maintain compliance with the firm’s Financial Discipline Policy relating to disbursements and payments

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of creditors’ clerks responsible for a defined portfolio of matter disbursement accounts

• Maintain and continuously improve relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Legal, Billing, and Finance teams

• Act as an escalation point for complex disbursement, payment, and vendor queries
