Sales Executive
Job descriptionWe’re hiring a driven Sales Executive to win, grow and retain B2B clients for Publishared’s offerings (Content Showcasing, Section Sponsorship, Podcast Interviews, Roundtables, and more). You’ll own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to close to renewal—and work closely with our delivery team to make sure clients see results.What success looks like at Publishared: • You bring in quality meetings weekly with decision-makers (marketing leaders, CMOs, heads of GTM). • You run crisp discovery, build clear proposals, and close new business consistently. • You grow accounts with smart upsell/cross-sell and strong renewal discipline. • Your pipeline is real, current, and forecastable. • You communicate simply and professionally—email, LinkedIn, and in the room. Responsibilities: • Prospect daily: outbound email, LinkedIn, calls; book meetings and demos. • Qualify opportunities and map stakeholders and buying processes. • Lead consultative sales conversations; tailor proposals to client objectives. • Negotiate, manage objections, and close deals against monthly/quarterly targets. • Maintain CRM hygiene: notes, next steps, probabilities, and reporting. • Coordinate with editorial/ops to deliver on what you’ve sold; track outcomes. • Prepare account plans; drive renewals and expansions. • Represent Publishared at client meetings and industry events when needed. You’ll need to be: • A self-starter who likes targets and owns outcomes. • Clear, concise, and confident in writing and on calls. • Curious about our clients’ industries and able to connect solutions to business impact. • Resilient—comfortable with outreach, follow-ups, and “no” on the way to “yes.” • Organised: you plan your week, prioritise well, and keep your CRM spotless. • Coachable: you seek feedback and improve fast. Requirements: • Matric (required). • 2–5 years’ B2B sales experience (media, marketing services, SaaS, or agency preferred). • Proven track record against quota and pipeline metrics. • Strong proposal writing and presentation skills (PowerPoint/Google Slides). • Solid MS Office/Google Workspace and CRM experience. • Driver’s licence desirable. Nice to have: • Experience selling to marketing/communications leaders. • Familiarity with content-led demand generation and thought-leadership plays. • Comfortable using LinkedIn for research, outreach, and social selling.
