Chief cat herder and coffee connoisseur
Are you a master of organised chaos? Do you thrive under pressure and possess an uncanny ability to make things happen, even when it feels like you're trying to nail jelly to a tree? Do you believe a working coffee maker (twice a day, non-negotiable) is a fundamental human right? If so, then buckle up, buttercup, because we're looking for our next project manager!
We're a fast-paced vehicle branding and architectural film company in Northriding, Gauteng, and we're on the hunt for someone to whip our amazing design and production teams into perfectly synchronised action. You'll report directly to our general manager (who's usually buried under a pile of sales leads, so good luck getting their attention without a really, really good project update).
Your daily shenanigans will include:Project jenga champion: you'll take projects from a vague idea scribbled on a napkin to a glorious, finished product. Think of it as playing jenga, but with deadlines, budgets, and the occasional curve ball from a client who just "had a thought."
The oracle of communication:
You're the human bridge between clients, our sales guru, and our ridiculously talented (and sometimes easily distracted) design and production wizards.Your mission: ensure everyone knows what's happening, when it's happening, and why it's happening. No whispers, no smoke signals, just crystal-clear directives.
Efficiency ninja:
You'll spot inefficiencies like a hawk spots a mouse. Then, you'll swoop in and streamline processes, making sure we're running like a well-oiled machine (fuelled, of course, by that glorious coffee maker).
Client whisperer:
Keep our clients happy, even when their "minor tweaks" involve redesigning the entire Eiffel Tower. You'll ensure they feel loved, valued, and completely understood.
Team therapist (unofficial):
Work hand-in-hand with our creative geniuses and production pros. You'll provide the guidance, the cheerleading, and occasionally, the gentle nudge needed to keep things on track.
Deadline daredevil:
If tight deadlines make you sweat, this isn't for you. We move fast. Like, "did someone just hit the warp drive?" fast. You'll juggle multiple projects with the grace of a circus performer.
The GM's right hand (or left, we're not picky):
You'll be the reliable source of truth for our general manager, keeping them updated on project progress so they can go back to charming clients and making sales magic.
What you'll need to survive (and thrive!):
project management superpowers: you've tamed projects before, ideally in a similar wild industry like ours.
Communication spells:
You can talk to anyone, anywhere, about anything, and make it sound interesting. You're fluent in client-speak, designer-speak, and production-speak.
"Get-stuff-done" obsession:
You don't just talk about it; you do it. Procrastination is a foreign concept to you.
Computer whisperer:
You're comfortable with all the usual techy bits – project software, spreadsheets, probably even how to fix that darn coffee maker when it inevitably jams.
Team player extraordinaire:
You play nice with others. Our team is tight-knit, and we value collaboration (and shared coffee breaks).
Deadline slayer:
You laugh in the face of pressure and deliver under duress.
A deep, unwavering love for coffee:
We mentioned the coffee maker, right? Twice a day minimum. Your personal happiness and our collective productivity depend on it.
If you're ready to embrace the glorious chaos, master the art of project delivery, and ensure our coffee supply never runs dry, send us your CV! We can't wait to meet our next project management legend.
