Our client is seeking passionate, sales-driven individuals to join their team as Travel Intermediaries. This role is ideal for candidates who are motivated by performance, thrive on closing deals, and enjoy converting existing hot leads into unforgettable adventures for clients. Previous travel agency experience is not required – they are looking for dynamic professionals with a flair for connecting with people and building a rewarding career in the travel and leisure industry. As part of the team, you will also have the opportunity to travel quarterly to affiliated lodges for inspections and ratings, gaining first-hand experience of the exclusive destinations you will be promoting.

Average Earning: R 40 000 (Basic and Commission)

Commission structure:

  • Sliding-scale commission system
  • No commission until GP covers salary
  • % commission increases with every R10,000 GP above salary
  • Strong closers consistently exceed R40,000+

Key responsibilities:
 
Client engagement and sales:
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and online inquiries related to lodge and travel bookings
  • Build rapport with clients and convert leads into confirmed sales
  • Confidently promote luxury lodge experiences and related packages
  • Maximise conversion opportunities and upsell where applicable
  • Work towards and exceed monthly GP and sales targets
 
Booking and administration:
  • Ensure accurate capturing of bookings, payments, and client preferences
  • Liaise with lodge partners for confirmations and special requests
  • Manage booking amendments, cancellations, or changes
  • Maintain accurate client records on internal systems (no specific GDS experience required)
 
Service and product knowledge:
  • Stay informed about the company's affiliated lodges, packages, and seasonal offerings
  • Provide professional advice to clients on accommodation, experiences, and logistical arrangements
  • Assist clients with travel-related queries, changes, or escalations promptly and efficiently
 
Teamwork and development:
  • Collaborate with peers and management to achieve sales and service objectives
  • Participate in product training and lodge familiarisation trips
  • Represent the company with professionalism and enthusiasm
 
Requirements and qualifications:
 
Education:
  • Matric (Grade 12) required
  • A tertiary qualification would be beneficial
 
Experience:
  • No travel agency experience required
  • Proven ability to close deals in a sales-driven environment is essential
  • Previous experience in sales, hospitality, call centres, or customer engagement roles is advantageous
