There are 20 categories in this year's South African E-Commerce awards and the shortlist is up for public voting until 31 October 2009. Public votes will count 49% and judges votes 51% with winners being announced on 10 November. This year's judges are Matthew Buckland, Amanda Forsythe, Vincent Maher, Damaria Senne and Ramon Thomas.
Jump.co.za, one of South Africa's premier shopping comparative websites, started the awards in 2006 to uplift e-commerce in South Africa. “We are very excited about the huge success of last year's awards and are looking forward to this year's results,” says Jaco Roux, MD of Jump.co.za.
